Principal's Message

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to our College website. I would request you to visit it to have an overall view of our performance at various levels in the Academic Session-2022-2023.

I feel gratified after observing and assessing at the progress made by the College in the field of academics and co-curricular activities related to social development that have helped in imbibing in students value-based quality education.

In the college, there are 36 Teaching positions for three different streams of study viz.,Humanities, Science & Commerce. The Departments of English, Hindi, History, Sociology, Psychology, Geography & Political Science offer Post Graduate Program in which a good number of students have enrolled themselves. The Science stream having undergraduate program offers subjects like Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics & Mathematics. Similarly,the stream of Commerce offers undergraduate program.

The enrollment is above 1500 students in each Academic session and it is a matter of pride for the college that the result is above 85% at UG level and exceeds 95% at PG level.

There is fully functional NCC, NSS Wing and a Rovers & Rangers. The College offers Physical Education as a separate subject and emphasis is laid on the organization of Games & Sports etc.

Our competent faculty along with the Staff works tirelessly to conduct the teaching -learning process, monitor and provide required mentoring to the students thereby encouraging them to overcome their shortcomings. Two of our meritorious students have topped the university exams in this session. I congratulate them and the Faculty for this commendable work.

The institution has achieved so many feathers to its crown.I am delighted to inform you that the institution got accredited by the prestigious NAAC in the session 2022-2023 and was awarded grade "B" with a total score of 2.41.The NAAC Peer Team wholeheartedly appreciated the efforts put by the Principal, Faculty and Staff towards creating a conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning.

I welcome the new students who have chosen this institution for their further studies and offer sincere thanks to the Parents who have put their faith in us.

I am confident that with renewed faith and vigour, SDM Govt PG College Doiwala, Dehradun will scale loftier heights setting benchmarks that would make us all feel proud.
